Walk to Beat the Clock: Help End Cervical Cancer

Walk To Beat The Clock D.C. 2008 will be on Saturday, May 17th.
The second annual Walk To Beat The Clock in Washington, D.C. will raise awareness about cervical health and the tools that women have to prevent this disease: Pap tests, HPV tests, and HPV vaccines. The thousands raised will be re-invested in the community.
We hope you can join us for this event. We will Celebrate cervical cancer survivors, Remember those who have lost their battles, Support women who are fighting this disease, and Educate others about how they can prevent it.
· 80% of women will get HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer.
· World wide, cervical cancer is the second leading cancer killer in women.
· HPV & cervicals are almost always 100% preventable.
Join other active women for an opening ceremony, MC's by Channel 7's Cynee Simpson. The picturesque walk route will take you through West Potomac Park and around the Tidal Basin. Then, a celebration to success with entertainment and performances by special guests will occur.
